NGC 3269 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 / a in the constellation Antlia in the southern sky . It is an estimated 158 million light years from the Milky Way , has a diameter of about 115,000 ly, and is a member of the Antlia galaxy cluster . 
The galaxies NGC 3267 , NGC 3268 , NGC 3271 , IC 2584 are in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on May 1, 1834 by John Herschel .
