NGC 3248 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Leo in the northern sky . It is an estimated 63 million light-years away from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light-years across.
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 10, 1785 .
