NGC 3234 = NGC 3235 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Little Leo in the northern sky . It is an estimated 285 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 3232 , NGC 3245 , IC 2565 , IC 2572 .

The object was discovered by John Herschel on December 24, 1827 .
