NGC 3225 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Ursa Major at the northern sky . It is estimated to be 99 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 8, 1793 .
