NGC 3241 is a bar-spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Antlia in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 125 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 95,000 ly.
In the same area of ​​the sky there are u. a. the galaxies IC 2575 and IC 2576 .

The supernova SN 2008ef was observed here.

The object was discovered by John Herschel on February 16, 1836 .
