NGC 3250 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E4 in the constellation Air Pump in the southern sky . It is an estimated 116 million light years from the Milky Way and about 95,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 3244 .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on February 1, 1835 .
