NGC 3254 is a spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Little Leo in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 59 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 80,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy NGC 3265 .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on March 13, 1785 .
