NGC 3288 is a bar-spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble-type SBbc in the constellation Great Bear. It is estimated to be 367 million light years from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light years in diameter.

Together with NGC 3286, it forms the gravitationally bound galaxy pair KPG 239 .

The object was discovered on April 9, 1793 by Wilhelm Herschel .
