NGC 3300 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 133 million light years from the Milky Way and about 70,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by William Herschel on March 19, 1784 .
