NGC 3323 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SB in the constellation Little Leo in the northern sky . It is an estimated 228 million light-years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 70,000 ly. The galaxy has strong deformations of its spiral arms .
The object was discovered on March 15, 1877 by Édouard Stephan .
