NGC 3297 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble-type S0 in the constellation Hydra south of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 397 million light years from the Milky Way and about 95,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered by Francis Leavenworth on February 26, 1886 .
