Ahmed Tijan (born April 28, 1995 in Banjul ) is a Qatari beach volleyball player of Gambian origin.

Career

Ahmed Tijan took part in the U21 World Cup in Larnaka with Cherif Younousse in 2014 and also completed his first FIVB World Tour tournament with him at the Doha Open . In 2015 he played alongside Assam Ahmed Mahmoud . In 2016 he formed a new duo with the native Brazilian Júlio César Do Nascimento Júnior . On the World Tour , a second place in the 2-star tournament Espinho was Ahmed Tijan / Júlio's best result. Since October 2017, Ahmed Tijan has started again with Cherif, who has since taken part in two world championships and the Olympic Games. On the World Tour 2018 , the Qataris reached third place in both the 4-star tournament in Doha and the 5-star tournament in Vienna. Cherif / Ahmed Tijan won the gold medal at the Asian Games in Indonesia in 2018 .
