history
In 1929 the Akcinė bendrovė Tilka company was established. On January 13, 1941, the Gegužės 1-oji pastry factory was established instead of the nationalized Tilka factory and then renamed Ramunė . In 1950 it became Poželos konditerijos fabrikas . In 1978 there were 1,120 employees and 21,150 tons of confectionery products were produced with a value of 43.5 million rubles . Kauno valstybinis akcinis konditerijos fabrikas ( Valstybinė akcinė įmonė ) was registered on December 6, 1990 and dissolved on March 25, 1996.
On October 5, 1993, Kraft Foods International , a food division of Philip Morris Companies Inc. , acquired the factory ( Kauno konditerijos fabrikas ) under a purchase agreement with Kraft General Foods . On December 13, 1993 the company became AB Kraft Jacobs Suchard Lietuva and in 2000 AB Kraft Foods Lietuva as the parent company became Kraft Foods . In 1994 the most popular trademark Karūna (author Gintaras Rimšelis) started by AB Kraft Jacobs Suchard Lietuva (KJSL). In 2011 it achieved sales of 350 million litas (101.37 million euros ). In 2013 it became UAB Mondelez Lietuva Production . There are also the Lithuanian Mondelez company UAB Mondelez Baltic and two Lithuanian branches of the two German companies Mondelez Europe Services GmbH Lietuvos filialas and Mondelez Europe Procurement GmbH Lietuvos filialas. There is an employee union Mondelez įmonių grupės darbuotojų profesinė sąjunga (head of Rūta Balčiūnienė), until October 24, 2013 AB “Kraft Foods Lietuva” darbuotojų profesinė sąjunga .
