Till Lothar Ehrlich (* 1964 in Dresden ) is a German journalist, author and wine expert .

Life

Till Ehrlich is the son of the actress Gerti Eichler and the Germanist and theater director Lothar Ehrlich. His younger sister Henriette lives as an actress near Dresden. From 1971 to 1981 he attended the 59th Polytechnic High School in Dresden. After successfully completing his apprenticeship as a chef in the Dresden restaurant Louisenhof , he worked in this profession in various restaurants until he began his studies, most recently in Berlin. Till Ehrlich studied communication science and history at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Vienna and graduated with a master's degree. He lives and works as a journalist and independent wine expert in Berlin.

Ehrlich is married and has one child.

Journalistic work

Till Ehrlich publishes regularly on wine and taste culture , gastrosophic topics, as well as on the cultural history and present of eating and drinking in daily newspapers (including Süddeutsche Zeitung), as well as in specialist magazines (including Fine. Das Weinmagazin, Der Feinschmecker) and in scientific periodicals on culinary arts (Journal Culinaire).

Ehrlich has published several books on wine and cuisine. His independent buying guide published by Hallwag Verlag on the best supermarket wines and wines under 10 euros achieved several editions and are among the bestsellers of this genre in Germany.
