Till Gerhard

Till Gerhard (born December 4, 1971 in Hamburg ) is a German artist who lives and works in Hamburg.

life and work

Till Gerhard was born in Hamburg. After graduating from the Stormarn School in Ahrensburg , he studied at the Muthesius Academy of Art in Kiel and at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Department of Design Professor Dieter Glasmacher ) (1993-98) from 1992–93 .

Gerhard paints large areas on canvas, often rural views, but with a restless atmosphere. He distributes the colors finely, but also uses broad brushstrokes, along with blobs and smudges of color. Among his more well-known exhibitions without us one had concrete (SKAMraum, Hamburg), nerdism in the Zeughaus Hamburg as well as Ein Tag, Ein Raum, Ein Bild in Mannheim. Gerhard exhibited in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art , in the Hamburger Kunsthalle , at Arndt & Partner in Zurich and at the Stellan Holm Gallery in New York and several times in the Marstall in Ahrensburg.
