Tilla Jogian is an elevation in the eastern foothills of the salt mountains in the north of Pakistan 's Punjab province .

It is located about 25 kilometers west of the city of Jhelam . The mountain is named after the monastery built by the well-known yogi Goraknath . The remains of the monastery can still be seen today. Located on the east side of the order in 1540 by Sher Shah Suri built Rohtas (also called Qila Rhotas), which today represents one of the most important monuments and Pakistan in 1997 by the UNESCO for World Heritage Site was declared.

Near Tilla Jogian there is a launch site operated by the Khan Research Center together with the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission for testing military missiles . Depending on the source, this system is also known as the Tulla, Malute, Malot, Jhelum, Dina or Mashhood Test Firing Range (MTFR). On April 6, 1998, the Pakistani Ghauri-1 medium-range missile launched on its first test flight from this location .
