Tilman Wendland (* 1969 in Potsdam ) is a German sculptor .

biography

From 1992 to 1999, Wendland studied visual communication at the Berlin University of the Arts , from which he completed a Master of Arts . Wendland later gave workshops on the subject of "Exhibition as a (micro) city" at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design in Iași , Romania. In 2010 he worked as an assistant at the Berlin University of the Arts in the area of ​​"Installation", which lasted until 2012. In 2013 he gave workshops on the subject of "Installation / Exhibition" at the Burg Giebichenstein Art Academy in Halle .

He has been visiting professor at the Berlin University of the Arts since 2014 .

In his work Tilman Wendland deals with the given spatial situation, which serves as a formal template for the artistic discussion.
