Tilmann von Stockhausen

Tilmann von Stockhausen (born May 11, 1965 in Schleswig ) is a German art historian .

Live and act

Stockhausen studied art history , ancient and modern history from 1986 to 1992 at the universities of Munich, Manchester and Hamburg. Since 1993 he has been a scientific advisor in the inventory department of the State Office for Monument Preservation Saxony . In 1997 he was in art history at the University of Hamburg with a thesis on the "History of the Gemäldegalerie in Berlin 1830-1904" doctorate . From 1999 to 2000 he worked at the J. Paul Getty Museum and Getty Research Center in Los Angeles. In 2001 he became a consultant for marketing at the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden , and in 2002 head of the public relations department. In April 2005 he became head of the marketing department at the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg . Since February 2008 he has been Managing Director of the Freiburg City Museum and Director of the Augustinermuseum .
