Tim Brockmann (born July 14, 1977 ) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) and has been a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament since 2017 .

Life

Brockmann passed his Abitur in 1997 in Neumünster , then completed his ten-month military service and from 1998 to 2001 an apprenticeship as a banker. From 2001 to 2005 he studied economics at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel , which he graduated with a degree in economics. From 2005 to 2008 Brockmann worked as a scientific advisor to the CDU parliamentary group in the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament, where he was responsible for looking after the economic group working group . In 2008 he moved to the ministerial office of the Economics and Science Minister of Schleswig-Holstein as deputy head. From 2010 to 2017 Brockmann was managing director of the Schleswig-Holstein Craft Association , the association of professional associations and district handicrafts in Schleswig-Holstein.

Brockmann has been a voluntary member of the NDR Broadcasting Council since 2012, where he is chairman of the committee for finance, economics and information technology and from 2013 to 2017 he was chairman of the Preetz Association for the Promotion of Municipal Kindergartens

Brockmann is married, has two children and lives in Preetz .

Political honorary and main office

In the local elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2003 Brockmann won a mandate as a member of the district council in Rendsburg-Eckernförde . After moving to Preetz in 2007, he became a civic member of the Preetz city council in the course of the local elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2008 and remained so until 2013. Since 2016 he has been deputy chairman of the CDU Preetz.

On May 7, 2017, he won the direct mandate in the state electoral district of Plön-Ostholstein and entry into the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament in the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein 2017 with 41.5% of the first votes . In the state parliament he acts as deputy chairman as well as university, media and police policy spokesman for the CDU state parliamentary group. Brockmann is a member of the Home and Legal Committee and the Education Committee.
