Tim Eisenberger (born October 30, 1991 ) is a German basketball player .

career

Eisenberger grew up in Ansbach and played basketball and football as a teenager , initially concentrated on basketball at the age of 16 and switched to the basketball boarding school at Schloss Hagerhof , played in the youth of the Dragons Rhöndorf  and in the men's team only in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB , in the 2010/11 season then in the 2. Bundesliga ProA and from 2011 again in the 2. Bundesliga ProB.

In October 2012, the 1.98 meter tall player left Rhöndorf after receiving a place in journalism in Ansbach and from then on played for the regional league team VfL Treuchtlingen. Eisenberger was a leading player in Treuchtlingen for many years and was recognized by the basketball news organ eurobasket.com as the best German player in the 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18 season and as the best overall player in the 1st Regionalliga Südost in the 2016/17 season after he had achieved an average of 21.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 2.7 ball wins per game in the relevant season. Although he changed his place of study in 2014 and studied at the German Sport University Cologne , he always traveled to the games with VfL Treuchtlingen from the Rhineland. In addition, Eisenberger, whose father Reiner Regional League footballer was at SpVgg Ansbach, was part of the ESV Ansbach / Eyb football team, for whom he ran up in the district and district league as a dangerous striker.

In December 2018 he left VfL Treuchtlingen and moved to TG Würzburg in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB, where he played again for his former trainer from Rhöndorf, Eric Detlev . He went to Würzburg to take up a position at the Main-Post newspaper from April 1, 2019 .
