Tim Herron (born February 6, 1970 in Minneapolis , Minnesota ) is an American professional golfer of the PGA TOUR . He is affectionately called "Lumpy" by his fellow players, as he is less than 1.80 m tall and weighs over 100 kg.

Career

Herron attended the University of New Mexico and played in the American Walker Cup team in 1993 , before starting a professional career in the same year . He is active on the Nationwide Tour in 1995 and on the PGA TOUR from 1996 , where he can land a tournament victory at the Honda Classic in his first season . Herron wins three times in his first four seasons and then plays consistently, but it takes seven years before he can win his fourth title. He succeeded in doing this at the traditional Bank of America Colonial Tournament 2006.
