Tim Kay Petersen (born March 3, 1986 in Hamburg ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Petersen began his career at SV Lurup and Niendorfer TSV . Until 2002 he played in youth teams at FC St. Pauli . From 2002 to 2006 he played for Hamburger SV . In the 2006/07 season he played for Altonaer FC from 1893 . In the 2007/08 season he played again for FC St. Pauli. He played his first second division game on February 1, 2008 when he was on the starting line-up for the game against 1. FC Köln . For the 2008/09 season he switched to FC Carl Zeiss Jena , where he signed a two-year contract. After the contract expired, he moved to the top division VfB Oldenburg for the 2010/11 season . In the 2011/12 season he qualified with VfB for the new Regionalliga Nord . In the 2014 season he moved back to SV Lurup. In the 2015/16 season he played for Eintracht Norderstedt in the regional soccer division North and then ended his career. In addition to football, he studied health management . Petersen has been working as a policeman for the Hamburg police force since 2016 .
