Tim Pollmann (born January 5, 1990 in Kelheim ) is a German football player . The two-footed defender is principally used as indoor or left-back used.

Career

Pollmann began as a striker in the F-Jugend from SV Saal an der Donau , for whom he played until he was ten. He then moved to SSV Jahn Regensburg via SG Post / Süd Regensburg . There he initially played in attacking midfield before he finally ended up in defense as an A-youth . At the age of 18, Pollmann made his debut as captain of the U-19 Bundesliga team on matchday 11 in the third division 2008/09 season for the Jahn first team. He made a total of twelve appearances this season, six of them over 90 minutes, and ended up with the team in 15th place in the table at the end of the season.

After his debut season and successfully completing his Abitur at the Donau-Gymnasium Kelheim , Pollmann and Moise Bambara moved to league rivals FC Ingolstadt 04 , who had previously been relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga . There, however, the defender was only used in the fifth-class Bayern League for the second team and was deleted from the professional squad after six months. During training he tore a cruciate ligament in his left knee in 2010 , from which he was unable to recover after several setbacks until his contract ended in 2012.
