The Donau-Gymnasium Kelheim (short: DGK) is one of the three high schools in the district of Kelheim , Lower Bavaria .

history

The foundation of the school, which at that time was still housed in the "Herzogskasten" , took place in 1948 under the name "Donau-Oberrealschule Kelheim".

In 1969 they moved into the new school building on Rennweg. At the same time, the school was given the name "Donau-Gymnasium Kelheim".

In the 2017/2018 school year, 66 full-time teachers taught 861 students.

Training directions

The DGK began as a "mathematical-natural science" high school, with the current language sequence English, Latin or French / Spanish. Since 1973 it has also had a "linguistic" branch. The language order in this branch is English, Latin and French / Spanish.
