The Timber Peak (English for timber tip ) is a 3070 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is the highest mountain in the Eisenhower Range and rises 3 km west-northwest of Mount New Zealand on the southern flank of the Priestley Glacier .
The southern group of a campaign carried out from 1962 to 1963 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition gave it its name. It is named after fossilized branches that the group found in the sandstone deposits of the mountain.
