Time After Time is an American television series. It was broadcast by the broadcaster ABC from March 5, 2017, but was canceled after only five episodes due to insufficient audience ratings. Nevertheless, all twelve episodes produced were broadcast in countries such as Portugal and Spain by the broadcaster AXN . The series is based on the book of the same name by Karl Alexander from 1979 as well as on the film version Escape into the future from the same year, the plot of which is largely followed by the pilot episode.

content

When the famous science fiction writer HG Wells is transported to modern Manhattan to hunt Jack the Ripper , he embarks on a cat-and-mouse adventure through time. When Wells arrives in New York City, he finds a world he thought was impossible and a young woman who downright captivates him. Wells must fight to stop his archenemy and find allies in various people whom he can trust.

occupation

reception

The pilot episode was rated three out of five stars on Serienjunkies.de , whereby it should be noted that time travel stories first have to develop in order to develop their effect and meanwhile an oversaturation sets in with regard to the "stressed time travel material".
