Time Tears Down is the first studio album by the German melodic death metal band Parasite Inc. It was released on August 2, 2013 via Good Damn Records (now renamed Rebel Tune Records).

Origin and publication history

The album was recorded in the band's studio under the direction of guitarist and singer Kai Bigler. The song material summarizes the first 5 years of the band's history. Apart from the intro and an interlude , all 8 songs of the self-titled demo album published 3 years earlier were re-recorded and partially revised. There was also a new intro, as well as 4 new songs and a bonus track for physical distribution. The mixing was taken Stelzer Kai Bigler and Benjamin. Jens Bogren ( Fascination Street Studios ) was hired for the mastering . In the course of the publication, a video clip for the song "The Pulse Of The Dead" was shot and published on YouTube , among other places . The album was already available on July 19, 2013 at the official release show. The album went on sale on August 2, 2013. Despite the problems with pirated copies , the band decided to offer the entire album for free streaming on YouTube.

reception

Time Tears Down received very good reviews from the music press. In particular, the fact that it is a debut album was often positively highlighted and at the same time the songwriting was praised. Almost six months after its release, Time Tears Down reached number 26 in the official German metal rock charts in January, where it stayed in the top 30 for several weeks.

style

The style of the album is assigned to Melodic Death Metal by the band and the music press . The style of play is characterized by the fast and hard rhythm of Death Metal , interspersed and interrupted by the melodic guitar playing of classic Heavy Metal . Singer Kai Bigler only uses growls and screams .
