Karl Seckinger

Karl Seckinger (born November 25, 1897 in Offenburg , † December 23, 1978 in Karlsruhe ) was a sculptor who worked mainly in Karlsruhe and the surrounding area.

Life

Karl Seckinger first studied sculpture at the Strasbourg School of Applied Arts . Then Seckinger went to the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe , where he was a master student of Georg Schreyögg . Since 1937 he lived in Karlsruhe-Grötzingen . Seckinger was known for creating monumental stone sculptures , bronze busts and statuettes . In later years he also created medals and plaques .
