Parasite Inc. is a German melodic death metal - band from Aalen , which has been active since of 2007.

history

The band's roots go back to 2006, when guitarist Kai Bigler and drummer Benjamin Stelzer decided to start a band . With Benedikt Grubauer (guitar) and Patrick Hauf ( bass ) the line-up was completed in 2007 and Parasite Inc. was chosen as the band name. In the first two years, songs were written for a first album and various concerts were played. Including club shows with Hackneyed , Akrea , Bleeding Red or Apophis as well as an appearance at the Was-Soll-Death-Festival with Heaven Shall Burn , Excrementory Grindfuckers and Eisregen .

At the end of 2009 the previous song material was recorded independently and released in spring 2010 as a self-titled demo album. The mixing was done by Hendrik Kröger (Syranic), the mastering by Benjamin Stelzer. At this time Patrick Hauf left the band and a replacement was found in Sebastian Schmid (ex-Shattered). The demo was very well received by the press and received high ratings, which is why the CD sold out quickly. In the same year, the band were selected from over 2,000 applicants to play at the Summer Breeze Festival as part of the New Blood Awards .

In the following two years many other concerts were played (among others with Hatesphere , The Sorrow , Soulbound, Bloodspot). Benedikt Grubauer left the band in summer 2011. Kevin Sierra (ex-Hackneyed) joined as the new guitarist. 2012 was a record deal with the label Good Damn Records (now Rebel Tune Records) signed and recorded, among other songs, the songs of the demo album again. This time mixing was done by the band, while Jens Bogren ( Fascination Street Studios ) mastered the album. Sebastian Schmid left the band during the recording. The new bassist was Stefan Krämer (Skeleton Pit, ex-Torment Tool).

Time Tears Down was released on August 2, 2013 via Good Damn Records. The album received very good reviews from the trade press and reached number 26 in the official German metal-rock charts, where it stayed in the top 30 for several weeks. A video clip was shot for the song The Pulse of the Dead , which was particularly successful on YouTube . In 2014 she performed at various festivals , including the Out-and-Loud-Festival , Rock am Härtsfeldsee and the Metal4-Splash. At the end of the year Kevin Sierra leaves the band, whereupon his place is taken over by Dominik Sorg. In the following years the band played a variety of concerts all over Europe including the Karmøygeddon Festival in Norway and the Summer Breeze Festival in Germany and supported big names in club shows such as Children of Bodom , Legion of the Damned , Wolfheart and Insomnium . In 2018 Parasite Inc. signed a contract with Reaper Entertainment for their second studio album.

style

The style is assigned to Melodic Death Metal by the band and the music press . The style of play is characterized by the fast and hard rhythm of Death Metal , interspersed and interrupted by the melodic guitar playing of classic Heavy Metal . In addition, electronic and industrial elements are used again and again . Singer Kai Bigler only uses growls and screams .
