Timo Hammel (born August 27, 1987 in Mosbach ) is a German football player . He plays in the position of goalkeeper.

In 2003, Hammel moved from SV Sinsheim to VfB Stuttgart . In 2005 Hammel played his first game for the second team at VfB Stuttgart.

In 2006 Hammel made his Bundesliga debut against Hertha BSC on the bench. In the 2006/07 championship season, Hammel was part of the Stuttgart squad several times.

Hammel made his professional debut on July 26, 2008 on the first day of the 2008/09 season for VfB II in the 3rd professional league against Kickers Offenbach . After his contract expired in the summer of 2010, Hammel was without a club for almost the entire 2010/11 season, before signing a contract until the end of the season with the Swiss first division club FC St. Gallen in early May 2011 .

In August 2011 Timo Hammel switched to FSV 08 Bissingen . After he was promoted to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg with Bissingen , Hammel moved to SSV Reutlingen 05 for the 2012/13 season .

For the 2014/15 season, Hammel joined GSV Maichingen , with whom he played in the district league and, after the championship won there, in the regional league. After relegation after the 2017/18 season, Hammel ended his active career.
