Timo Hebeler

Timo Hebeler (born December 8, 1974 in Rotenburg an der Fulda ) is a German law scholar and professor at the University of Trier .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1994 and the subsequent military service, Hebeler studied law at the University of Gießen from the 1995/96 winter semester . There he passed his first state examination in law in February 2000 and completed a degree in administrative science at the University of Speyer , which he completed in May 2001. After his state examination, Hebeler took up a position as a research assistant for Thomas Groß at his chair in Giessen. Under his supervision, Hebeler received his doctorate in May 2001. iur. From November 2002 he completed his legal clerkship at the regional court in Giessen , which he completed in 2004 with the second state examination. In July 2007 he completed his habilitation procedure in Giessen and received the Venia legendi for the subjects of public law, social law and administrative science. His habilitation thesis was awarded the Dr. Herbert Stolzenberg Prize .

As of the summer semester of 2008, he was deputy professor at the universities of Heidelberg , Frankfurt am Main and Freiburg . From the winter semester of 2009/10 he held a full public law chair at the University of Potsdam . In the summer semester of 2011, Hebeler moved to the University of Trier , where he has held the chair for public law, social law and administrative science ever since. Since 2014 he has also been director of the Trier Institute for Environmental and Technology Law (IUTR).
