Timo Kob (born September 10, 1969 ) is a German entrepreneur and computer scientist in the fields of economic protection and cybersecurity.

Life

Kob is a qualified computer scientist. He is the founder and board member of the German security consultancy HiSolutions AG. In 2011 the company was listed by the BSI as a “certified IT security service provider”.

Kob is co-author of the BSI standard 100-4 "Emergency Management".

As deputy chairman of the ASW Bundesverband (Alliance for Security in Business), he was involved in the creation of the “Initiative Wirtschaftsschutz”, a cooperation project between the relevant ministries and authorities and the business associations. Since 2011 he has headed the “HiSolutions-GS-Certlab”, one of two private-sector test centers commissioned by the BSI to test audit reports for IT baseline protection certification .

Timo Kob is head of the federal working group "Cyber ​​Security" at the Economic Council of the CDU .
