Timo Kaapo Arthur Murama (born October 15, 1912 in Rovaniemi as Timo Kaapo Arthur Moberg , † January 17, 1981 ibid) was a Finnish skier who competed in ski jumping and Nordic combined .

Career

Murama, who started for the Ounasvaaran Hiihtoseura club , was part of the Finnish team at the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . In the individual ski jumping he reached the 24th place with jumps on 71 and 70 meters. In the individual combination, after a very good jumping, he finished seventh, tied on points with Stanisław Marusarz .

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1938 he started jumping, but clearly missed a place in the top 50. At the later canceled Nordic World Ski Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo in 1941 , he reached fifth place in the individual combination.

With the Second World War and the associated sporting restrictions, Murama's active ski jumping career ended. He later ran a sports shop in his hometown of Rovaniemi .
