Timo di Giorgio

Timo di Giorgio (born July 30, 1988 ) is a German futsal and soccer player .

Career

Di Giorgio first came into contact with futsal in 2011 when a friend who played for FC Portugues Karlsruhe invited him to a tournament. After playing for Karlsruhe for some time, di Giorgio first went to FC Ispringen before joining FC Portus Pforzheim in 2014 . In his first season in Pforzheim , di Giorgio and his team were runner-up in southern Germany and reached the quarter-finals of the 2015 DFB Futsal Cup . A year later , FC Portus was again South German runner-up and failed in the preliminary round of the German championship in 2016 .

On October 30, 2016, di Giorgio made his debut in the German national futsal team in a friendly against England . In his first four appearances, di Giorgio was able to score one goal each.

In football di Giorgio plays as a left -back and moved in 2007 to the then Association division club SV Spielberg . With the Spielbergers he was promoted to the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga in 2009 . After the direct relegation, di Giorgio's team immediately went back up to the top division. In 2013 di Giorgio moved to the Baden association league club TSV Reichenbach , before joining FC Germania Friedrichstal three years later .
