Tineke Huizinga

Johanna Catharina (Tineke) Huizinga-Heringa (born February 16, 1960 in Dantumadiel ) is a Dutch politician from the Christian University .

Life

After finishing school, Huizinga studied law at the University of Utrecht (no diploma). In 1998 she became a member of the Reformatorische Politieke Federatie (RPF) party and worked as a local politician in Heerenveen . In 2001 Huizinga became a member of the ChristenUnie party . From May 23, 2002 to February 22, 2007 she was a member of the Second Chamber of the States General and from February 22, 2007 to February 23, 2010, State Secretary for Transport and Water Management in the Balkenende IV cabinet . From February 23, 2010 to October 14, 2010, she was Minister for Housing, Regional Planning and Environmental Protection in the same cabinet . She has been a member of the First Chamber of the States General since June 11, 2019 .

Tineke Huizinga is married and lives in Heerenveen. She is a member of the Dutch Reformed Church .
