Ervin Marn (born January 9, 1986 in Kranj ) is a former Slovenian natural track luge . He started in the World Cup from 2002 to 2006 , where he was three times among the fastest 15, as well as at World and European Championships , where he was twice among the top 20.

Career

Ervin Marn took part in international junior championships from 2001. Already in 2002 he achieved a good tenth place at the Junior World Championship in Gsies and in 2003 he achieved his best result with ninth place at the Junior European Championship in Kreuth . In 2006, he again came tenth at the Junior World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . In the general class, Marn started for the first time at the 2002 European Championships in Frantschach-Sankt Gertraud , where he achieved his best result at World and European Championships with 19th place. The next year he was ranked 20th at the 2003 World Championships in Železniki . At the 2004 European Championships in Hüttau , he was only 28th and at the 2005 World Championships in Latsch , after a failed first run, he was only 40th. At his last major event, the 2006 European Championship in Umhausen , he was able to improve again with rank 23.

In the World Cup , Ervin Marn contested a total of five races from 2002/2003 to 2004/2005, with a 17th place in the opening race being his best result every year. He only competed regularly in the World Cup in the 2005/2006 season . This winter he took part in five of the six World Cup races, achieved twelfth place as the best result in the first race in Grande Prairie , was never worse than 19th and came 15th in the overall World Cup. After this season he did not participate in any international races part.

In the summer Ervin Marn also took part in roller luge competitions.
