Tinker's Moon

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tinker's Moon was a Canadian pop - rock band that in their homeland in 1974 with a cover version of Bill Martin / Phil Coulter -Songs Shang-a-Lang had a hit in the CHUM charts and in the RPM charts. The song was already in the charts in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the original version of the Bay City Rollers at the time.

Tinker's Moon was essentially a studio project by music producer and manager Ben Kaye and sound engineer Hubert Liesker. The two had signed a long-term production contract with Polydor Records in the spring of 1974 . On this label they released two more singles as Tinker's Moon after the hit Shang-a-Lang . Now That Summer Is Over was not listed on the chart; Ooh Baby, Baby was also a minor hit on the RPM charts in 1975.

Kaye has worked with Patsy Gallant , Aldo Nova and René Angélil , among others, over the years . He died of cancer in 2007.
