Aldo Nova
Aldo Nova , actually Aldo Caporuscio , (born November 13, 1956 in Montreal , Québec ) is a Canadian guitarist, keyboardist, singer and producer.
biography
Aldo Nova is the son of the Italian immigrants Anna Sardelli and Bernardo Caporuscio. He didn't start playing guitar and keyboards until he was 15, but worked hard on his skills and soon became known in local clubs. His career started simultaneously with the role as George Harrison in the musical Beatlemania and as a recognized sound engineer. In 1982 he released his self-produced debut album Aldo Nova on Portrait Records, which included two hit singles: Fantasy and Foolin 'Yourself . His next album, Subject ... Aldo Nova had a hit, Monkey on your Back . In the mid-1980s, sales of his releases fell, but he was one of the most critically acclaimed guitarists of this era.
His solo career took a back seat when he became more active as a guest musician and producer. He worked with Jon Bon Jovi in the 1980s and produced some of the early Celine Dion albums. For example, he can be heard as a guitarist on the Bon Jovi hit Runaway - Richie Sambora only joined Bon Jovi shortly afterwards - and can also be seen in the video for Runaway as a guitarist. Aldo Nova helped write and produce parts of Chantal Condor's 1989 album Chantal .
In 1990 Aldo Nova played guitar on the Jon Bon Jovi album Blaze of Glory ( Young Guns II soundtrack).
In 1991 he released the album Blood on the Bricks with the help of Jon Bon Jovi , but it was only moderately successful (# 124 in the USA). Aldo Nova is currently a songwriter and lives in Saint-Lazare . More recent hits include the 2003 Billboard No. 1 hit This is the Night , sung by American Idol participant Clay Aiken .
