Tino Schuster

Tino Schuster (born July 4, 1978 in  Stuttgart ) is a former German professional golfer on the European Tour .

Amateur career

Tino Schuster started playing golf at the age of six. He learned his first golf shots at the Solitude Golf Club. As an amateur he was in the German national team from 1993 to 2000. He won German championship titles in all age groups and was one of the top 10 amateurs in Europe. In 2000, after a successful amateur World Cup and international amateur titles, he switched to the professional camp.

Successes as an amateur:

Vice World Champion 1992 (AG14), German Youth Champion 1993, 2nd place German Youth Championship 1994, 1995, 1996, Vice Youth European Champion 1995, German Champion 1997, German Vice Champion 1998, German Champion 1999, English Champion (Lytham Trophy) 1999, French champion (Coup Murat) 1998, vice European champion with Germany in 1999, 4th place in the World Cup with Germany in 2000, 6th place in the individual World Cup in 2000, ranking list winner Germany in 1997–2000.

Professional career

Tino Schuster was a European Tour Member and two-time German professional champion. He attracted worldwide attention through his successes at European Tour tournaments such as the  BMW Open , Omega Masters and  Deutsche Bank  Players Championship, as well as his 2nd place behind  Tiger Woods  in the 2nd round of the  British Open in  St Andrews in  2005 With a shoulder injury, he ended his active career as a professional golfer in 2008 and has been a sports and real estate entrepreneur ever since.

Activities after the active career

Schuster is the founder of the sports investment bank WhiteRock (together with his partner Thomas Rudy), which globalizes, sells or raises capital for companies in the fields of sports, media and entertainment.

In the consulting area, Tino Schuster advises golf resorts and hotels in Europe such as B. Costa Navarino, Quellness Resort Bad Griesbach and some Kempinski Hotels . Together with former tour player Felix Lubenau, he opened the Schuster & Lubenau Academy on the Egmating Castle golf course in 2015 . The next academy followed in 2016 at the Chieming Golf Club and, since 2017, also in Costa Navarino.

Media appearances

Tino Schuster initiated and represented for the first time at the  BMW International Open  from June 23 to 26, 2011 at the Eichenried Golf Club   as an expert for the sports program ran on  Sat.1 . He acted as an ambassador for “Munich Plays Golf”, was the “face” for the golf sports program on free TV  golftotal and was a testimonial for the internet platform www.mysporty.com together with Manuel Neuer  and  Felix Sturm, among others  . There are also guest columns in well-known German golf magazines.
