The Tiscon AG is a former IT distributor based in Linden . The company is a subsidiary of GreenGold AG and is listed on the Regulated Market ( General Standard ). In 2006 (including the newly acquired companies), consolidated sales of EUR 330 million were achieved.

With the entry of the new investor GreenGold at tiscon AG, who acquired the shares of the previous main shareholder Arques Industries , a change in the management board was made. On July 20, 2009, Hans Halbach and Jochen Strack replaced the previous board members, Michael Krings and Leonard Reznicek.

On July 31, 2009, Tiscon filed for insolvency at the responsible local court in Giessen .

Major holdings

On December 20, 2006, tiscon AG Infosystems from Ulm acquired COS Distribution AG, Avitos GmbH and Topedo GmbH from the Swiss company COS Computer Systems AG and took over the operational management of these companies. The takeovers were notified to the Federal Cartel Office for merger control .

COS Distribution GmbH

The company was founded in 1989 as P&T Computer GmbH and renamed COS Distribution AG in 2001. In the course of the takeover in 2007, the legal form of COS Distributions AG was changed to GmbH. The company has 252 employees and is headquartered in Linden (Hessen) . In 1999 Topedo GmbH was founded as a subsidiary of COS Distribution AG. In the main building of COS Distribution GmbH, Avitos is housed in addition to Topedo.

On July 28, 2009, COS Distribution GmbH filed for insolvency at the responsible local court in Giessen, three days before Tiscon AG. In addition, Topedo GmbH also filed for insolvency on August 9, 2009.

In September 2009 it was taken over by Devil GmbH in Braunschweig, in the course of which logistics and product management were centralized in the Braunschweiger Holding. In June 2011, the COS moved into the new business premises on the former VOKO site in Pohlheim Garbenteich Am Pfahlgraben 4–10.

In June 2013, the company was finally bought up by the Aachen distributor api GmbH as a sales company and since then has continued the business with a broader portfolio under the name COS Computer GmbH.

Avitos GmbH

Today's Avitos GmbH was founded in September 1998 under the name IT Media AG with headquarters in Giessen . After renaming to Avitos AG in 2000 and moving to Linden and the subsequent merger with the Cologne-based PrimusOnline group to form PrimusAvitos AG in 2001, around 30 employees now work in the company of the German mail order company. The company operates a mail order business under the Avitos.com brand whose online catalog includes more than 30,000 individual hardware and software products for computers, telecommunications technology and consumer electronics. The mail order business supplies more than 600,000 customers from medium-sized businesses and public institutions.

Avitos GmbH and the company E-Logistics GmbH, like COS Distribution GmbH, also filed for insolvency on July 28, 2009. The COS Distribution founder Ralf Paul took over Avitos on October 1st. In the meantime, however, the company belongs to Alternate Computerversand GmbH , which is also based in Linden, the old business premises of COS Distribution AG in Theodor-Heuss-Straße have been moved into, but Avitos GmbH is now based in Dresden, storage and shipping is carried out by the Alternate- Warehouse in Linden.

Chikara GmbH

The IT distributor Chikara Handels GmbH based in Tiefenbach (near Passau) was taken over in February 2007. With 20 employees, a turnover of 30 million euros was achieved in 2006.

Chikara GmbH also filed for bankruptcy in August 2009.
