The api Computer Handels GmbH is a trading company based in Baesweiler . The distributor specializes in the wholesale of computer hardware , software and accessories.
Company history
The company was founded in 1994 in Aachen by Achim Heyne, who has managed the company to this day. From 2007 api was certified as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and was thus able to offer specialist dealers additional services related to Microsoft's offerings. In 2008 a partner agreement was signed with Medion and api was granted the distribution rights for the electronics company's navigation devices and notebooks. In the same year api and Synaxon signed a cooperation agreement. In 2009, the portfolio was expanded to include a distribution agreement with the Korean monitor manufacturer Hyundai IT Corporation and with the network manufacturer Trendnet . In 2010, ZyXEL products were added and api became a trust partner of Sennheiser . In the following years, further distribution contracts were concluded with companies such as Synology , Klarmobil , Buffalo Technology and Creative Technology . Since 2013 api has been selling the complete portfolios of Fujitsu and Tandberg Data and took over the insolvent company COS Distribution AG . As of October 2014, as an Authorized Microsoft Distributor , api received the sales rights for its products in OEM and FPP versions (FPP = Full Package Product, product in retail sales packaging).

The IT company has branches in Braunschweig , Linden , Marl , Munich , Neuwied , Nuremberg , Paderborn and others in Austria , the Netherlands , Sweden and France .
