Tisha Waller
Tisha Waller (born December 1, 1970 in South Boston ) is an American athlete who specialized in the high jump .
Athletic career
At the 1991 Summer Universiade in Sheffield , she won the bronze medal with 1.90 m.
In 1999 she started at the World Indoor Championships in Maebashi / Japan , where she won 1.96 m behind the Bulgarian Christina Kaltschewa (gold with 1.99 m) and the Czech Zuzana Hlavoňová (silver with 1.96 m) won another bronze medal.
She was denied an Olympic medal. In 1996 in Atlanta she came 9th with a skipped 1.93 m, and eight years later in Athens she failed with 1.89 m in the qualification .
The 1.83 m tall and 61 kg athlete won five American championships:
- 1996: 1.95 m
- 1998: 1.94 m
- 1999: 1.99 m
- 2002: 1.96 m
- 2004: 1.98 m
