The Titan Entertainment Group is a British book and comic publisher and operator of comic shops. The head office is in London .

history

In the mid-1970s, Nick Landau set up a US comics distributor called Titan Distributors . After some outlets were closed, he opened his first comic book store, Forbidden Planet, in London's Denmark Street in 1978 . The store with its program of comics, characters, science fiction literature and merchandise was a success and it expanded into new locations, around 20 stores opened in the United Kingdom and a few in New York City , Rome and Belfast .

In 1981 he founded the Titan Publishing Group . Comics and film companion books were published here in Edition Titan Books . Titan Magazines was founded in 1995, and licensed comic book series such as The Simpsons and fan magazines for Star Wars and Star Trek were published here .

In 2011, Titan Merchandise , a brand for characters from film and comics such as Star Wars , Star Trek , Alien, etc.

The Titan Comics brand was introduced in 2012 , with series such as Doctor Who , Tank Girl , Assassin's Creed and Blade Runner comics.
