Tito Vuolo

Tito Vuolo (born March 22, 1893 in Gragnano , Italy , † December 14, 1962 in Los Angeles , California , USA ) was an Italian-American actor .

Career

Vuolo made his acting debut in America. Vuolo's first film appearance was in the film The Shadow of the Thin Man in 1941 . Many film appearances followed in the late 1940s. With his film appearance in Deported in 1950, a successful time as an actor began for him. One of Vuolo's best-known roles was that of Commissioner Charra in The Beast from Outer Space . Only after a guest appearance in the television series Superman - Savior in Need did his appearances in television series increase. He has appeared in the television series Lassie , Lux Video Theater , The Thin Man and The Lawless Years over the years . Vuolo's last appearance in a film was in Five Pennies and Some Like It Hot in 1959 , where he played the undertaker, Mr. Mozzarella, at the beginning of the film. After that he played in a few series. He ended his career with a guest appearance on the television series The Roaring 20’s in 1961.

On September 14, 1962, Vuolo died of cancer in California at the age of 69.
