Titular diocese of Comana Pontica
The diocese of Comana Pontica ( Latin Dioecesis Comanena Pontica ) is a titular diocese of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to an earlier bishopric in the ancient city of Comana Pontica in the Roman province of Cappadocia . In late antiquity , the diocese formed part of the Pontus Polemoniacus on the Black Sea coast . He belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Neocaesarea in Ponto . The bishopric is now located in northeastern Anatolia in Turkey.
