Titular diocese of Nesqually

The diocese of Nesqually ( Latin Dioecesis Nesqualiensis ) is a Roman Catholic titular diocese .

The diocese had its seat in the place Nesqually south of Seattle in the US state Washington settled. It was founded on May 31, 1850 from the area of ​​the abolished Diocese of Walla Walla . The diocese of Nesqually belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Portland in Oregon. In 1903 the administration of the diocese was transferred to Seattle and on September 11, 1907 the Archdiocese of Seattle was raised. The diocese of Nesqually has been on the list of titular dioceses since 1995 and in 1997 it was first occupied as such.
