Alexander Salazar (born November 28, 1949 in San José , Costa Rica ) is a Costa Rican clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop emeritus in Los Angeles .

Life

Alexander Salazar received on 16 June 1984 by the current Archbishop of Los Angeles, Timothy Cardinal Manning , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On 7 September 2004 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Nesqually and auxiliary bishop in Los Angeles. The Archbishop of Los Angeles, Roger Michael Cardinal Mahony , donated him episcopal ordination on November 4th of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Chicago , Gustavo García-Siller MSpS , and the auxiliary bishop in Los Angeles, Gabino Zavala .

Pope Francis accepted his early resignation on December 19, 2018.
