Titular diocese of Scampa
Scampa is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to an early Christian diocese in what is now central Albania near Durrës , which belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Epiro Nuovo. The city of Elbasan was later founded on the site of its central location, which was abandoned in the early Middle Ages .
