Titular diocese of Sicca Veneria
Sicca Veneria is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
It ties in with the former bishopric of the North African city of Sicca Veneria , which perished in the 7th century with the Islamic expansion . The city of Sicca Veneria was in the Roman province of Africa proconsularis ; the diocese belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Carthage and was subordinate to the Metropolitan of Carthage as a suffragan diocese .
