Titular diocese of Vaison
Vaison is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to a bishopric in the town of Vaison-la-Romaine , which is located in the French region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur . The diocese Vaison was subordinate to the Archdiocese of Avignon as a suffragan .
On February 9, 2009 Vaison was by Pope Benedict XVI. rebuilt as a titular seat and awarded for the first time by Pope Francis on December 14, 2018 .
